Log into your official MathWorks account. Navigate to the downloads section, select R2017b , and download the installer installer for your operating system.

Choose the destination directory where MATLAB will be installed. It is best to leave this as the default path (e.g., C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017b on Windows) to prevent path routing issues later.

After the files are copied to your disk, the software must be activated to function: Start Activation

The installer will open with two options. Select "Use a File Installation Key" (Do not select "Log in with a MathWorks Account") and click Next .
