The film's path to the screen is as epic as its story. Blessy began work on the project as early as 2009. The filming took place across six phases over more than four years (from March 2018 to July 2022). It was shot in challenging desert locations like the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan and the Sahara in Algeria to capture the harsh environment authentically. The production even faced a 70-day halt in the Jordanian desert due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film's music, composed by A. R. Rahman, has also been widely praised, with the soundtrack featuring soul-stirring melodies that complement the film's narrative.
