Beyond resolution, the camera system itself has fundamental flaws. The camera is not stabilized on a gimbal; it is typically a fixed-angle lens that can only be manually adjusted on the ground before flight. This results in footage that is wobbly and shaky. The lack of Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) is a major drawback for any video. A further issue is that the angle of the camera needs to be adjusted manually, as opposed to remotely from the transmitter, limiting the ability to get the perfect shot.
